Silver Cockle Shell Earrings

Product Details

Cast directly from a cockle shell found on a beach in Ravenglass, Cumbria in the beautiful Lake District, these earrings have been hand-enamelled with a layer of jewel-like glass.

A unique gift for yourself or a loved one, these enamelled earrings are made from solid sterling silver (925% pure) and enamel (glass).

Enamelling is an ancient art whereby glass is fused onto metal at a high temperature in a kiln which causes the glass grains to melt and flow together.

As you can imagine, this technique is skilled and time-consuming, but the finished earrings have a jewel-like quality and the colours will never fade.

The silver shells are approx. 18x15mm in diameter and the drop is approx. 3cm.

Your silver cockle shell earrings will come beautifully gift-wrapped in a BenjaBlue branded box with ribbon and tissue paper.

Includes free polishing cloth and care guide.

If your item to does not arrive within the expected delivery time, I would be grateful if you could check your local post office / sorting office to see if it has been left there for you. Even my small items will be too large to fit through most letterboxes when they have been packaged and sometimes posties forget to leave a card.
