ABOUT
Well, here we are. No hiding now (as us creative types are inclined to do)!

Myself (Kelly Archer) and my husband, Steve Terry, are artists in several mediums. Steve's expertise lies in wood. He makes amazing acoustic guitars which is just one of his many talents. He can often be found helping me in my workshop (the posh name for my messy shed) and saves my sanity on a daily basis.
I paint portraits of wildlife and beloved pets in several mediums and create silver and enamelled jewellery. I also adore gardening and my biggest love of all is animals. The latter two subjects are where I draw all my inspiration. Steve says I spread myself too thinly and he's probably right!

The rest of the team are my animal family of rescued critters and our lives wouldn't be the same without them (the house would be a lot cleaner though!).

CRAZY ANIMAL LADY

Creator of many things, many of which never get finished. Most likely to be found on my hands and knees in the garden.

FUTURE PREDICTION: will end up with 15 cats.

If I put a dynamo on his wheel he could probably power 5 small homes.

LONG-SUFFERING HUSBAND
Chief wood butcher (his words, not mine!) and counsellor. Puts up with me and my rabble of unruly critters. Creates fabulous acoustic guitars. If you can think of something in wood, he can make it.
LOVES: tools; motorbikes.
HATES: tools being out of place; motorbike being out of petrol.

Curious boy who is friendly, but also prone to nipping. Lives with Juno - two psychos together!

The latest member of the G-FORCE team, Magpie is also the tamest of the guineas and begs at the door for treats before her sister from another Mister can get her paws on them.

Nimbus knows how to work the floor when she wants to. Sounds the alarm whenever she hears a bag rustle.

Will make matchsticks out of anything, including your sanity.​

Found as a stray and named Nora by the rescue centre she came from. Very apt, as she tried to gnaw her way out of the carrier for the whole two hour journey home.

Beautiful lady with neurological issues which makes her head sway. She gets around with no problems and just seems extra sweet because of her condition.

The tamest of the five girls. Worked out how to get in the window and onto the treat table pretty quickly! Also got stuck behind the radiator once - oops!

I CRAVE VIOLENCE

The mother of Astrid, Erin and Odile, she is very sweet with her daughters and Kynren, but wants to kill Juno who is unrelated (the feeling is mutual). Obviously they only meet through cage bars!

AWARDS
In 2012 I was incredibly excited to receive the 'Rheged Award' from the Lakes' Artists' Society for the best figurative painting by an artist under 35 years old for my cat portrait 'Geisha Girl' during the Society's Summer Exhibition in Grasmere, Cumbria,UK.
