Hold your breath enamellers! I think this is the closest we might come to a direct red over silver.
As most enamellers will know, transparent pinks, reds and oranges that don't react much silver are pretty special, and this is one of them. Over silver flux the colour is a bright and beautiful pink and if you squint a bit the colour could almost pass for a red when placed directly over silver! Also produces a nice deep pink over copper flux.
This enamel is produced by Hirosawa.
The suggested firing for this colour is between 760°C-815°C (1400°F - 1500°F). The test strips in the photos were fired at around 790°C.
