I'm pleased and relieved to say that my first guitar show on the 27th August at Rheged, Penrith (run by Mojo Guitar Shows) was a success. Sleepless nights worrying about how it would go were unfounded and I literally did not sit down from 9.30 in the morning until it finished at 4pm.
We took 6 guitars: 2 classicals, 2 small-bodied steel-strung, 1 acoustic archtop and 1 medium-bodied steel-strung guitar. I'm pleased to say that we had a great deal of interest in all of them with many favourable comments.
Special thanks go to Roger from Fylde Guitars who introduced me to Tristan Seume (below), an extremely talented finger-style guitarist, who was kind enough to sit and play one of my guitars. I think he liked it!
Now I have dipped my toes into the world of guitar shows I'm looking forward to attending many more. It was certainly a worthwhile experience and a very good way of getting the word out there.
